Brae Carnes is a master stylist trained at the Aveda Institute of Victoria who recently became the founder and owner of Role-Play Hair Studio. Brae received a comprehensive and rigorous education, which she utilizes in the salon today. Priding herself in her multifaceted approach to hair, she specializes in everything from colour to blondes, extensions, and cuts.
With a love of all things fashion and experience working as a model, she is always at the forefront of new trends and takes inspiration from runway shows and pop culture. Inclusivity is extremely important to both Brae and her business, as she uses gender-neutral pricing and bookings.
As a Trans rights activist and educator, her chair is a safe space for anyone in the LGBTQ2S+ community, offering affirming services and an in-depth knowledge of the queer experience.
For neurodiverse clients and those wanting privacy, she is also available for Sunday bookings when the salon is emptier and quieter.
Not only is Brae an incredible hair stylist, she’s professional, personable and fosters a welcoming and safe environment for all.
